I'm Just a Nerd Trying to See The World One Adventure at a Time...

Kensington Palace ~ London

Kensington Palace ~ London

One day while we were in London we found ourselves near Kensington Palace with nothing planned for a few hours.  So we decided to walk around Hyde Park and check out the Palace that so many royals have called home.  Unfortunately we did not have enough time for a tour of the inside - in retrospect, I wish we would have!

While we were there it was the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana's death, so the Palace gates were covered in thousands of flowers and gifts that people left for her.  It was beautiful to see how much love people still have have for her after all of these years.  She was beloved throughout the entire world, but particularly by her own people and that love was definitely on display at the gates of Kensington Palace.

Currently Kensington Palace has a display of Princess Diana's fashion through the years.  I'm sure it is incredible to see and I wish we would have made the time to go inside and have a tour.  But even just walking around the Kensington neighborhood and stopping at the gates was a wonderful way to spend a few hours!

Also - while you're in the area - stop for a meal at the Churchill Arms
