My absolute favorite campground that we camped at was Sligachan Campsite, just south of Portree on the Isle of Skye.
It’s right on the Sligachan River with stunning views of the Cuillins right from the campsites.
We opted for this campground for our final night on Skye. We were heading to the Fairy Pools very early the next morning so we wanted to stay at a campground where it would be easier to pack up the car and head out super early.
Right across the street from the campground is Seumas’ Bar. A really fun pub with great food, loads of whisky (over 400 different kinds to be exact), real ales, and live music on some nights. The Sligachan Hotel is right there too so if you don’t want to camp - or if the weather is terrible, that’s always an option!
